OBJECTIVES OF THE CALL OF PROPOSALS
EFSA is seeking proposals to make an inventory of the factors influencing the (re)emergence of aflatoxin B1 in maize, wheat and rice plants in the EU due to climate change. These data will then need to be used to build predictive models and draw maps of potential growth of (re)emergence of aflatoxin B1 producing microorganisms in the EU. In particular, the contractor is expected to develop the following work packages (WP): WP1: Inventory of the factors influencing the growth of aflatoxin B1 producing microorganisms in maize, wheat and rice plants in the EU. This inventory will be based on the scientific literature.
WP2 For each identified factor, available data will be screened to determine those that will be used to build predictive models on the growth of aflatoxin B1 producing microorganisms in the EU.
WP3: Data modelling based on the data screening to build predictive models, define scenarios and draw maps on the potential growth of aflatoxin B1 producing microorganisms in maize, wheat and rice plants in the EU.
